When it comes to hard workers in the offseason, Prestonsburg’s Kai
tlyn Keathley ranks among the top female athletes in the 15th Region.
You can find her working out daily on her shooting and dribbling skills. In addition, she is a tremendous track and field standout as well as long-distance runner.
She helped lead her Lady Blackcats to a solid summers season, averaging 19 points per game and five assists in limited playing time in some games.
Keathley is being recognized this week at EKB Sports’ Player of the Week.
Her team had wins over Louisville Central, Floyd Central, Magoffin County, Sheldon Clark, Jenkins, Tates Creek and Betsy Layne. They played both Shelby Valley and Johnson Central close.
She was also invited back to the blue-chip camp for girls.
