When it comes to working on his game – there is no offseason for Mingo Central’s Drew Hatfield.
Hatfield, when not working on catching a pass and running sprints on the football field he is busy working on his dribbling, passing and shooting skills in the gymnasium.
His off-season efforts have earned him EKB Sports’ Player of the Week honors.
He is one of the state’s top guards on the hardwood and a scoring threat as a receiver on the Miners football program.
Hatfield, whose father, Kevin, was an all-state player during his playing days at Burch High School, himself is turning heads across the Mountain State.
