Pending approval of the Mingo County Board of Education, Josh Sammons, a former standout at Matewan High School and current assistant coach, has been selected as the next head football coach at Mingo Central. Sammons replaces Joey Fields who left after one year as head coach to accept an assistant coaching position at Louisville Trinity.
