LOUISA – Floyd Central captured the 58th District Tournament championship in a game much closer than the final score, beating Lawrence County, 58-45, at the Dawg House Feb. 20.
The Lady Jaguars, now 27-2, took a three-point lead into the final period before pulling away down the stretch.
Katie Jo Moore fired in a game-high 24 points and Lauren Preston finished with 13 while Brook Stumbo tossed in 10.
Kensley Feltner led the Lady Dawgs (22-10) with 15 points and Alexis Ratliff tallied 12. Kyleah Ward chipped in 8.
