Three former area high school football standouts have been selected to the Kentucky Collegiate All Commonwealth Team announced by the Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame committee.
Former Pikeville high school standout and current Georgetown Tiger running back Daric Pugh was selected, along with former Paintsville and current Kentucky linebacker Kash Daniel. The third member is former Belfry Pirate and UPIKE running back Xondre Willis.
Other University of Pikeville players to be honored include quarterback Bowen Smith, running back Willie McCloud, offensive lineman Chase Richardson and defensive lineman Brandon Gibson.
The trio, along with others from around the state, will be honored during the 2019 Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony scheduled for 7 p.m. June 21, at the Lexington Opera House.
