LANGLEY – Johnson Central hurler Chloe Vanhoose struck out 14 batters and did not allow a walk to lead the Lady Eagles to a 10-0 victory over host Floyd Central in a 15th Region Tournament matchup played Memorial Day.
The Lady Eagles, now 22-15, will face Pikeville in tonight’ second semifinal game set for approximately 8 p.m.
Katelyn Fitch had two hits, including a home run, and scored twice while Alyssa Hedrick added two hits, scored a pair of runs and drove in three. Alaina Castle collected two hits, scored twice and added a pair of RBIs.
Claire Gamble had two hits and drove in one run while scoring twice. Vanhoose finished with two hits and added an RBI while Abby Fannin singled in one run.
